Introducing… the 13X Exec Board

President: Katie Gibson

My name is Katie Gibson, I am Sigma Delt’s Summer President for 13X and I am from Princeton, New Jersey. While at Dartmouth, I am receiving my Teaching Degree in primary education, majoring in cognitive science and minoring in education. One of the most exciting parts of being a member of this sisterhood is seeing what a diverse, creative, and supportive group of sisters we are. I am incredibly grateful for being part of this house and am excited to serve Sigma Delt this summer!

Standards and Development Chair: Bridget Lynn

I’m Bridget, Sigma Delt’s Standards and Development Chair for the 2013 summer term. I am from Middletown, New Jersey and at Dartmouth I’m majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish. I am looking forward to my work as SD chair because I care very much about Sigma Delt and want to make sure that it is functioning in the best way it possibly can. The friendships I’ve created and the lessons I’ve learned through Sigma Delt have changed my life at Dartmouth for the better in so many ways, and as SD chair I will work to make sure that the house gives all of its members what it has given me.

Sisterhood Chair: Meredith Shaw

I’m Meredith, a History major and Hispanic Studies minor from the suburbs of Chicago. As Sisterhood Chair, I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to spend so much quality time with my incredible ’15 sisters this summer! Throughout my time in this house I have been so impressed with the passionate, thoughtful and enthusiastic individuals who comprise our sisterhood. I am really looking forward to strengthening relationships with my sisters now and in the future!

Social Chair: Sutton Higgins

I’m Sutton, one of the social chairs for 13X! I’m originally from Wayzata, MN and I’m majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Spanish with plans to go to medical school post-graduation. I have been thoroughly enjoying my responsibilities as social chair so far and I’m looking forward to a summer of fun with the wonderful women of Sigma Delt. I have been so privileged to be a member of Sigma Delt - the drive, energy and love of the sisters of Sigma Delt have been one of the best parts of my Dartmouth career to date.

Social Chair: Nina Mascia

I’m Nina, and I am a Social Chair for summer of 2013. I’m from Raleigh, North Carolina, but at Dartmouth I am a Neuroscience major and psychology minor, interested in pursuing a PhD in Psychology after Dartmouth. I am so happy to work with my sisters as Social this summer. I have so much respect and admiration for my sisters of Sigma Delt. Each of them is absolutely amazing in many different ways, and I’m so lucky that I can call Sigma Delt my home.

Philanthropy Chair: Ellie Pearlman

I’m Ellie, Sigma Delt’s philanthropy chair for the summer. I’m from Wilmette, Illinois, which is just outside of Chicago. I am a neuroscience major and a chemistry minor. I love that Sigma Delt is a place where I can be myself and spend time with some of the most interesting women on campus.

Treasurer: Gillian O’Connell

Hi! I’m Gillian, SD’s treasurer for 13X. I’m from Kansas City, the heart of the midwest, and am studying Government and Public Policy with a focus on Healthcare. I’m thrilled to serve as treasurer for Sigma Delt this term; as soon as I pledged, I knew I’d found my home base on campus and feel honored to be able to help it serve the same purpose for our entire sisterhood.

Scholarship Chair: Laura Vang

I’m Laura, Sigma Delt’s Scholarship Chair for 13X. I’m from Memphis, TN, and am majoring in Engineering modified with Studio Art (as a four-year B.E. candidate) at Dartmouth. My favorite aspect of my position in the house is bringing in outside groups such as the 2013 SEAD IV Scholars and favorite professors. Not that I don’t love the sisters who support me - I’m continually impressed by all the great things sisters are achieving.

Programming Chair: Molly Chodakewitz

I’m Molly, Sigma Delt’s Programming Chair for the summer. I’m from right outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I’m a neuroscience major here at Dartmouth. I’m so excited about Sigma Delt programming because it allows us to engage with the greater Dartmouth community through so many different channels, whether that occurs by bringing performing groups to the house for shows, going hiking with another house, or just meeting new people over a barbecue. I love Sigma Delt because all of my sisters continuously inspire me to be better through their examples of excellence and their constant support, love, and laughter.

Houseman: Delainey Ackerman

I’m Delainey, majoring in Computer Science Modified with Digital Arts and minoring in Film Studies. I’m from Denver, Colorado and grew up loving a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, soccer, rock climbing, sailing, and ultimate frisbee. As of right now I’m interested in going into animation or some sort of graphic design/special effects! Sigma Delt has provided me with a wonderful space on campus where I am constantly surrounded by independent women who have the rare ability to stand up for their own ideals while listening and respecting differing ideals of others.

Alumnae Chair: Rachel Funk

I’m Rachel, Sigma Delt’s Alumnae Chair for the summer of 2013. I’m from the beautiful city of Seattle, WA and am not at all accustomed to the sweltering summers and freezing winters of New Hampshire. At Dartmouth, I’m a Geography major and a Sustainability minor. As Alumnae Chair, I look forward to reaching out to SD Alumnae and creating a better website for our sorority. I love Sigma Delt because of all of my sisters, who are incredibly engaging, passionate, and strong women and who have given me a loving and amazingly fun home at Dartmouth.
